Overwhelmed?

I think it’s safe to say that 2020 was one for the books. For so many of us, we faced feelings of anxiety or overwhelm… and those didn’t just disappear with the drop of the ball on Dec 31st. So, today, I’ve got some wellness tips for facing those feelings.

✨ 𝑪𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒂 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏 when you feel overwhelmed. List out what you need to do. Chunk it down into manageable and understandable pieces and prioritize what you have to do right away versus what can wait.
Prov 31:18 She sees that her gain is good; Her lamp does not go out, but it burns continually through the night [she is prepared for whatever lies ahead].

✨ 𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒕. Scribble with crayons. Splash some watercolors. Paint a rock. Get one of those adult coloring books… just zone out and create.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph 2:10

✨ 𝑮𝒐 𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆. If it’s nice where you live, put your bare feet in the grass. If you live somewhere with snow, look at how beautiful it is. Focus on the tangible things you can see and feel. This will allow you to ground yourself.
“But ask the beasts, and they will teach you;
the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you;
or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you;
and the fish of the sea will declare to you.
Who among all these does not know
that the hand of the Lord has done this?
In his hand is the life of every living thing
and the breath of all mankind. — Job 12:7-10 (ESV)

✨ If you regularly feel overwhelmed, start to reflect on 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒈𝒚 𝒕𝒐. What changes can you make to start to eliminate some of that overwhelm and anxiety?
Phil 4:6-8 “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

And lastly… sweat and stretch and rest and hydrate and meditate on God’s Word daily. 💦 Get the heartrate up and lift some things a few days a week. 💪🏻 Do some yoga a couple days a week. 🧘🏻‍♀️ Get a devotional that speaks to your current struggle and leads you in focused prayer about it.

“…and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ,”
‭‭2 Cor‬ ‭10:5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒅𝒆-𝒆𝒔𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒎𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒙𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔?
