Angel Ballance owns her own fitness business, which she runs with her husband and business partner, Donald Ballance, from their home in the North Texas area. She earned her degree in Psychology from McNeese State University, going on to work in the addictions field, and eventually serving as part of a leadership team in the administrative, helps, and teaching ministry. Her experience in ministry is a major part of her passion for servant leadership and the helping of people to reach their physical and personal goals. Whether taking control over eating habits, starting fitness for the first time, overcoming emotional eating, starting over, or creating a new life towards financial freedom through a new at-home virtual fitness business, Angel coaches and mentors others the necessary steps to building a successful foundation from which to practically launch their dreams from.
Angel personally overcame obstacles to getting in shape and controlling her eating with the help of PiYO and Shakeology. Inspired by her 30+lb weightloss and the motivation of her challengers and coaches, she has gone on to become a coach herself, completing more Beachbody programs, including P90 and P90X3, 21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix Extreme, Cize, 3 Day Refresh, with her most recent goals being to complete Insanity Max 30, PiYo Strength, and The Master’s Hammer & Chisel. She has found a new love for fitness and eating healthy foods to fuel, not starve, the body, and believe in the power of Beachbody programs as a valuable and reliable resource to aid in the areas of fitness and nutrition.
Growing up with a damaged self esteem and poor body image, Angel flip flopped from either over eating or not eating enough as a teen and adult, often hiding food or eating in secret for feelings of shame and guilt around eating. Her own struggle with weight has many times been tied to the “uncontrollables” of life and the need to be filled, or numbed, or distracted from hurts and failures. It is her hope that, through the trusting and relying on God’s grace, to ultimately bring every hardship and circumstance into the service of His purpose, for the helping of people. God has brought Angel through her wounded soul moments in life, and she believes not one fragment of those hard times is lost – but rather is picked back up and put back together again for a balanced, complete life, well-fitted and equipped for every good work that would come her way. In other words, a LifeFit (2 Tim 3:17).
Angel and Donald have three beautiful children, one cuddly old cat, and love pursuing God’s heart through the serving, leading, and helping of others in fitness and health – from the inside, out.
